Vickie Smith, LPC

With over 9 years of counseling experience and 18 years at the Arkansas Department of Health, Vickie offers a wealth of knowledge in supporting individuals and families. She’s worked with teens in juvenile detention, individuals with severe mental illness, and people navigating trauma.

Vickie’s goal in every session is simple: for clients to leave feeling better than when they arrived.

Stephen Walker, LPC

Stephen is a graduate of Henderson State University who provides individual, group, and family therapy. His approach centers on practical tools like journaling, goal-setting, and improving communication—encouraging personal growth through reciprocity and self-reflection.

Stephen supports clients in building confidence and clarity to make lasting, meaningful changes.

Donna Sheppard, LPC

Donna brings compassionate, trauma-informed care to individuals and families across all age groups. She holds dual Master’s degrees in Community Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy from John Brown University, as well as a Master’s in Education and Mild Disabilities from Henderson State University.

Donna has sixteen years of experience in the field of mental health, including time spent working with APS Healthcare, conducting audits for mental health agencies across Arkansas, and training mental health professionals and staff.

With a focus on nervous system regulation and holistic healing, Donna helps clients build resilience and find meaningful progress. She also offers Christian counseling upon request. "Our creator gives us roots, change gives us branches, letting us grow and reach new heights."

Brett Burks, LAC

Brett Burks is passionate about supporting teens and adults as they work toward a more stable, confident, and fulfilling future. He earned his Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Henderson State University with a 4.0 GPA, as well as an undergraduate degree with honors in Integrated Studies focused on Psychology, Sociology, and Business.

Brett works with clients from all backgrounds and meets people exactly where they are. He has a strong track record helping individuals who are facing stress, anxiety, life transitions, or uncertainty about school, work, or their next steps in life. Brett’s approach is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth — he focuses on helping clients feel understood while building practical skills and confidence to move forward.

He is currently working toward his LPC and plans to pursue advanced training in trauma-focused therapy, an area that is especially meaningful to him. Outside of counseling, Brett enjoys singing, writing music, and spending time with his wife and kids.

Ethan Lyles, LAC

Ethan holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Henderson State University. Passionate about lifelong learning, he is currently in the process of gaining additional licensure in Applied Behavior Analysis through the University of Arkansas. 

Ethan takes a unique, integrated approach to therapy by merging traditional mental health techniques with behavior analytic principles. His goal is to promote personal growth and socially significant change, helping clients navigate their development to become the person they strive to be. He utilizes evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mind-body Psychotherapy to support clients. Ethan is passionate about men's mental health and enjoys working with this population from childhood through adulthood. Outside of the office, Ethan enjoys an active lifestyle that includes running, working out, and hiking, as well as spending quality time with friends and family.

Gary Green, LPC, Clinical Director

Gary is a Licensed Professional Counselor with many years of experience helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges. A graduate of Henderson State University, Gary has worked extensively with troubled youth and brings a grounded, compassionate presence to his sessions.

Drawing from a mix of evidence-based approaches and real-world insight, Gary supports clients of all ages in developing healthier coping strategies, building stronger relationships, and finding clarity in difficult times. He’s especially passionate about helping clients overcome adversity and discover personal strength.
